This interface is used to connect the VAS 611 015/2 sensor or the VAS 611 015/3 microphone to your VAS 611 015/1 or VAS 611 015A/1 vibration and noise analysis system. It is powered by a user replaceable CR123 battery. The unit has 3 BNC connectors labelled X, Y and Z, which can be used to connect the 3 axes of the sensor to the 3 input channels of the meter. It also has a BNC connector labelled SUM that provides the arithmetic sum of X+Y+Z when required. The other multipin connector is used to connect the microphone, either directly or via the extension cable VAS 611 015/4 or the sensor VAS 611 015/2 to the interface. The battery switches on automatically when a plug is connected via the multipin connector and switches off when the sensor or the extension cable is disconnected.
